I have worked in mental health services for over twenty years and treated many people with anxiety disorders, depression and many other mental health problems.
I presently work part time as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist in the NHS.
I am a registered mental health nurse and I am accredited with the BABCP also.

CBT is an evidenced based psychological ( talking ) therapy, that enables individuals to gain insight into their problems and identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviour ‘s which maintain the problem.
I will develop an approach with you, that you agree with, where you will learn to utilise new skills and strategies to enable you to make the right choices for you and achieve your goals.

Get to know me

My name is Lindsey Marshall. I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1995, taking up post as a junior staff nurse at the Rawnsley Day Hospital at Manchester Royal Infirmary as it was then.
Within the following three years I was promoted to a senior sister, working in the community.
I then completed postgraduate training in Cognitive therapy and became an accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with the BABCP, and a clinical nurse specialist in the NHS.
I then took up post as The clinical Lead at
The Therapy Centre at MDGH as was.
I now work part time as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist within the community mental health team at Macclesfield where I provide both individual and group therapy.
I also clinically supervise other practitioners.
I have completed further training in
Mindfulness
Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Compassion Focused Therapy
I also attend several study days and workshops each year.
I receive clinical supervision from a clinical psychologist who is also my colleague in the NHS .
